iPhone 17 Pro Max vs Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra
The iPhone 17 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra are two of the most powerful flagships of 2025, but they focus on different strengths. Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro Max comes with the new A19 Pro chip, 12 GB RAM, and iOS 26, while the Galaxy S25 Ultra runs on Snapdragon 8 Elite with up to 16 GB RAM and Android 15. In real-world use, both will feel extremely fast, but the S25 Ultra may appeal more to power users who want extra RAM and multitasking flexibility, while the iPhone benefits from Apple’s deep hardware–software optimization. Price-wise, the iPhone is expected around ৳147,000, while the S25 Ultra’s official price is much higher at ৳223,999, though unofficial imports make it cheaper.
Display quality is excellent on both phones but with slight differences. The iPhone 17 Pro Max features a 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR OLED with Dolby Vision, reaching up to 3000 nits peak brightness, while the Galaxy S25 Ultra has a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with HDR10+ and 2600 nits peak. Samsung offers higher resolution (1440 x 3120 vs. 1320 x 2868) and slightly sharper pixel density, along with its signature anti-reflective coating. Both have 120Hz refresh rates and tough protection (Ceramic Shield 2 on iPhone, Gorilla Armor 2 on Samsung), but the iPhone’s brightness advantage will stand out in very sunny conditions.
Cameras highlight the biggest differences. The iPhone 17 Pro Max sticks with its triple 48MP setup but adds advanced ProRes RAW, Apple Log 2, and even spatial video recording for Vision Pro users. The Galaxy S25 Ultra pushes hardware with a 200MP main camera, 50MP ultrawide, and two telephoto lenses offering 3x and 5x zoom, making it the king of versatility.
For selfies, the iPhone uses an 18MP TrueDepth camera with Face ID, while Samsung uses a 12MP punch-hole camera. Battery life is solid on both, with around 5000 mAh each, but charging speed favors Samsung (65% in 30 min with 45W) versus Apple’s 50% in 20 min plus faster wireless MagSafe charging. Overall, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is best for video creators and Apple ecosystem fans, while the Galaxy S25 Ultra offers more camera flexibility, sharper display, and faster charging.

| SIM SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) is a small card that contains mobile network subscriber's account information. This allows the phone using the card to attach to a mobile network. The SIM card is most commonly associated with GSM and UMTS mobile networks. Moving a SIM card from one phone to another allows a subscriber to switch mobile phones without having to contact their mobile network carrier. SIM cards can also be used by a phone to store limited amounts of data, such as phone numbers and text messages. |
