Google Pixel 10 Pro XL vs Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra has a slightly larger and sharper display than the Pixel 10 Pro XL. It comes with a 6.9-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X screen with 1440×3120 resolution ~498 ppi density, and 2600 nits peak brightness. The Pixel 10 Pro XL has a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display with 1344×2992 resolution and 3300 nits peak brightness. While Pixel gets brighter outdoors, Samsung’s screen has higher resolution, better anti-reflective coating and a higher screen-to-body ratio, making it more premium for media and gaming.

In performance, Samsung is ahead with the Snapdragon 8 Elite (3nm) chipset and Adreno 830 GPU, which delivers higher benchmark scores and faster speeds. The Pixel 10 Pro XL runs on Google’s new Tensor G5 (4nm), optimized for AI and photography but slightly behind in raw power. Both phones promise long software support (7 major Android upgrades), but Pixel ships with Android 16 while Samsung comes with Android 15 and One UI 7. For memory, both offer up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, though Samsung uses the faster UFS 4.0 storage standard.

When it comes to cameras, Samsung is the clear winner in versatility. The Galaxy S25 Ultra has a quad setup with a massive 200MP main sensor, 50MP periscope with 5x zoom, 10MP telephoto with 3x zoom and a 50MP ultrawide lens. The Pixel 10 Pro XL has a triple setup with a 50MP main, 48MP ultrawide, and 48MP telephoto with 5x zoom. Pixel focuses more on AI photo processing, Ultra-HDR and natural colors, while Samsung provides more flexibility for zoom and high-resolution shots. For selfies, Pixel’s 42MP ultrawide beats Samsung’s 12MP front camera, especially for group selfies and 4K video calls.

Battery performance is close, but Pixel pulls slightly ahead. The Pixel 10 Pro XL has a 5200 mAh battery with 45W wired and 25W wireless charging, plus reverse wireless and bypass charging support. The Galaxy S25 Ultra has a 5000 mAh battery with the same 45W wired charging but only 15W wireless. Both phones charge to around 65-70% in 30 minutes, but Pixel’s larger battery should last a bit longer. Overall, the Pixel 10 Pro XL is better for AI features, selfies, and battery, while the Galaxy S25 Ultra is stronger in performance, display sharpness and versatile cameras.
